Wireless AI and Systems Lab

We build the next generation of wireless systems that communicate, sense, and adapt to the world around them. Our research brings together 6G communication, wireless sensing, AI, and security, connecting fundamental theory with real-world hardware and deployed systems. We aim to make wireless networks faster, more reliable, scalable, sustainable, and secure.

Research Overview

WAYS Lab explores the intersection of wireless communication, sensing, and networking, spanning millimeter-wave and FR3 systems, MIMO and beamforming, Open-RAN, and next-generation 6G architectures. We leverage existing wireless infrastructure to enable RF-based localization, tracking, and environmental sensing, while developing intelligent and resource-efficient approaches for practical deployments. As wireless systems become increasingly pervasive, we also investigate vulnerabilities such as spoofing and jamming, designing robust defenses that protect both communication and sensing. Our work connects theory, hardware, and data—iterating from ideas and models to working prototypes and real-world systems.
